We’re on the lookout for talented barbers with big hearts to join our team at The Roots Foundation. Established in 2017 as Exeter’s first gender-inclusive and vegan barber shop, The Roots Foundation has built an outstanding reputation for quality barbering services in a welcoming setting.

Our accolades include two awards for Business of The Year; press features in The Telegraph, Modern Barber, The Barber Magazine and BarberEvo; and accreditation with the Green Salon Collective and the Dresscode Project Salon Alliance.

You will be responsible for providing high quality barbering services to our diverse range of clients. Excellent communication skills, kindness, creativity, attention to detail and the ability to adapt to different clients’ needs are an essential part of being a barber at The Roots Foundation.

Responsibilities and requirements:

 ~ Minimum 1 year experience as self-employed barber (preferred)
 ~ Awareness of delivering inclusive services to a diverse clientele (preferred)
 ~ Excellent time-management skills
 ~ Excellent communication and customer service skills
 ~ Willingness to contribute to shared tasks
 ~ Professionalism, reliability and a passion for your work
